Microsoft Entra Sign-In for Secure and Convenient Access

We’re excited to introduce a new sign-in option using Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory)! This feature allows you to authenticate with your Microsoft Entra account, providing a seamless and secure alternative to our traditional username/password login. This feature is available for Kemp’s Prime 16 Web, starting with Application Version 2026.04.21.11.26.

What’s New?

  • Single Sign-On (SSO): Log in with your existing Entra credentials and complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) as configured in your Microsoft account.
  • Easy Integration: Works alongside our current login methods, including ConvergeOne.
  • Enhanced Security: Leverages Entra’s advanced protections.

How to Get Started

  1. Administrative Setup: Your database administrator will need to configure this feature for use. This requires setup in Microsoft Entra and Kemp’s Prime 16 Web.
  2. Once the Administrative Setup is complete, users will:
    • Link Their Account: Log in with their staff number and password, then visit Account > Manage Microsoft Link to connect their Entra account.
    • Sign In: Once linked, they can use the “Sign in with Microsoft” button on the login page (after any required ConvergeOne steps).
    • Manage: Use the same link page to unlink if needed.

This update makes logging in faster. We encourage you to try it out and share your feedback.

SharePoint Document Storage

We are pleased to announce a new SharePoint document storage feature for the Prime Web Version. This feature is available beginning with the Prime Web Version from Database Branch 2026-05-06.

With this update, organizations can connect Prime Web to a Microsoft SharePoint site and document library for storing case and organization documents. When SharePoint is configured and enabled for your organization, Prime can save documents to SharePoint instead of storing them directly in the SQL database.

Features:

    • SharePoint-based document storage for newly uploaded documents when SharePoint is enabled.
    • Continued access to existing SQL-stored documents, so older documents remain available.
    • Document preview and download support through Prime Web.
    • A file location indicator showing whether a document is stored in SQL or SharePoint.
    • Move SQL documents to SharePoint in specific case when SharePoint is available.
    • Organization-level SharePoint configuration, allowing each organization to connect Prime to its own SharePoint site and document library.
    • SharePoint connection testing from the Prime setup area to help confirm that the configuration is working.

Requirements:

    • A Microsoft 365 tenant with access to SharePoint Online.
    • A SharePoint site and document library dedicated to, or approved for, Prime document storage.
    • Access to Microsoft Entra ID to create and configure an app registration.
    • An Entra app registration with the required Microsoft Graph API permission.
    • Administrative access to grant the Prime app permission to the selected SharePoint site.
    • A valid client ID, tenant ID, client secret, SharePoint site ID, and document library/drive ID entered into the Prime SharePoint configuration area.
    • Prime Web updated to the Database Branch 2026-05-06 or later.

This change is intended to improve document storage, reduce the database’s file-storage load, and enable organizations to use their Microsoft 365 SharePoint environment for document management.

Please note that the feature must be configured before SharePoint storage becomes active. If SharePoint has not been configured for your organization, Prime will continue using the existing SQL-based document storage process.
